Quick answer
The Ring concerns Farkas’s purple gem ring, found in a small chest on the north shelf of Bakir’s treasury after The Lunar Game. It is a separate item and quest from Ocha’s Andrei’s Ring.
Giving it to Farkas completes the quest but leads to his brother’s death in the documented outcome. Refuse the handover and consult Anca at the Crossroads Inn to choose the destruction branch.
Evidence checked October 14, 2026. The item location and Farkas / Anca branches are checked against two independent walkthroughs. Alternative merchant rewards and route-wide time costs are outside this guide’s verified scope.
Keep Farkas’s ring quest in context with the Bakir Boss Guide, Anca Quest & Romance, Quests & Quest Order and The Heart Wants What It Wants.
Which ring quest is this?
The Ring is Farkas’s side quest connected to Bakir and The Lunar Game. It concerns a purple gem ring in Bakir’s treasury. Ocha’s Andrei’s Ring belongs to The Heart Wants What It Wants, a different quest.
The checked walkthrough starts The Ring after The Lunar Game, either through agreeing to help Farkas or collecting the item yourself. Keep a manual save before deciding who receives it if you want to compare the outcomes.
Where to find the purple gem ring
Inside Lunar Manor’s treasure room, inspect the small chest on a shelf along the north side. Both PowerPyx and QuestDuo identify this container. Look for the purple gem ring rather than assuming that another ring lying in the treasury is the quest item.
Give the ring to Farkas
Handing it over completes the quest in the published route. The later outcome is separate: the walkthroughs report that Farkas accidentally kills his brother. Completing the journal entry does not mean that giving him the ring produces a harmless result.
If avoiding that outcome is your priority, preserve the ring instead of handing it over. Use your earlier save to compare the decision without overwriting the branch you prefer.
Refuse Farkas and take it to Anca
Refusing the handover leads to an objective to find someone who understands the item. The documented route is:
- Speak to Anca at the Crossroads Inn when she is available outside her own quest.
- Ask about the ring. She recognizes its dark magic and offers to destroy it.
- Accept that offer to finish this branch. PowerPyx lists the Quick Fighter’s Ring as the replacement reward.
This guide covers the checked Farkas and Anca branches. It does not establish every alternative merchant’s reward or a universal time cost. For Anca’s separate companion progression, see the Anca guide.
