Who Anca is

Anca Laslea is a herbalist who grew up beside Coen and taught him to read. Official character material connects her to his past; official gameplay material connects her to the daytime Witchcraft path. Published launch walkthroughs support the route and its major decisions, but they do not expose a complete internal relationship-flag map.

Where to find Anca

In PC Gamer's launch route, Anca can be found at her home off the western village path. Day 2 morning is the recommended first visit. Page Turner can be handled around Day 3 noon, but it is optional and has not been proven to be a hard prerequisite for the later chain.

Use a manual save before starting a time-cost action. The PC patch baseline was 1.0.3 when this page was checked on September 9, 2026, while most quest walkthroughs were written during the launch window and do not show an exact build number.

Quest order, prerequisites, and rewards

1. Page Turner — optional reading-related setup. The exact time cost was not consolidated.
2. Echoes of Silenced Bells — requires Smoke and Ashes. It begins around Laslea Glen and the Village Gates, contains eight documented segments, and awards 150 XP.
3. The Most Precious Thing — optional. Its complete cost and reward fields were not verified.
4. Between the Words — requires Echoes of Silenced Bells. The supported route goes through St. Tyna Grove and the monastery, has four documented segments, and awards 1,000 XP plus 1 Skill Point.
5. Where Old Devils Lie — requires Between the Words and a separate wait of one in-game day. It resumes at the Crossroads Inn, has four documented segments, and awards 150 XP.
6. Stronger Than Achilles — requires Where Old Devils Lie. The ruins route has six documented segments and awards 500 XP, 1 Skill Point, Sins of the Past, and one Font-related outcome.
7. Return to the inn — complete the relationship resolution after the ruins.

Quest-by-quest route notes

Echoes of Silenced Bells

Meet Anca at the old inn near St. Tyna's Convent after completing Smoke and Ashes. The route passes through the fog and the refectory before you must secure a way to the library. The bell tower offers a route that moves the undead nuns between the infirmary, church, and dormitory; dealing with the soldiers directly is another option. Search the library before leaving because its bookcases can contain manuals.

The final section moves into the catacombs and a fight with Leonica. PC Gamer reports that the notes decision does not block Anca's romance, although it changes the quest's resolution. If you immediately agree to study the books afterward, the game can move directly into Between the Words; otherwise, meet Anca at the Crossroads Inn later.

Between the Words

This is a quieter four-segment study sequence at the Crossroads Inn. Studying the forbidden books takes two segments, browsing them takes one, and preparing a warm drink is an optional one-segment action. Inspect the apparently blank book with the candle to reveal the hidden writing and advance the search for the Font of Life.

Where Old Devils Lie

Wait at least one full in-game day after Between the Words, then return to Anca at the inn. PowerPyx advises speaking to her while at least six daytime segments remain because this quest flows directly into Stronger Than Achilles. Use the map to solve Enolf's riddle, follow the river to the ruins, and use Focus Mode on the mortar, broken pot, and painting in the chamber.

Stronger Than Achilles

This six-segment finale begins inside the ruins. Complete the trials, use Astral Communion on the inscribed tablet, survive the enemy waves, and inspect the Font chamber with Focus Mode. The Font decision changes the unique reward and Anca's later state, so create a manual save before interacting with it.

Major choices

The Leonica decision changes the monastery state and later references, but published walkthroughs still continue into Anca's later quests. The Font decision is the larger branch:

• Letting Coen use the Font unlocks the Font of Life Witchcraft perk, which PowerPyx describes as passive daytime health regeneration.
• Letting Anca use the Font leaves her in Laslea and accepted by the community.
• Destroying the Font awards the Legendary heavy trousers Ancient Greaves in the launch walkthrough.
• If Anca does not use the Font, the supported account says she leaves to keep seeking a cure.

Romance route

Choose supportive or flirtatious dialogue while completing the chain, then return to the inn after Stronger Than Achilles for the relationship resolution. Multiple published routes reach the romance, but they do not isolate the minimum number of flirt choices. The Most Precious Thing is optional, and Page Turner has not been proven mandatory.

Keep a save before the Font choice and another before returning to the inn. A launch guide reports that more than one relationship can be advanced in a playthrough, but this is editorial reporting rather than an official systems guarantee.
